Bulo-burde (Mareeg News ) Somali government soldiers have on Saturday arrested seven traditional elders in Buloburde town, some 200Km (125 miles) north of the capital, Mogadishu.
The local elders were reportedly put into behind bars after accusing them of attempting to finance the Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab group.
The local authorities told Mareeg Online that the elders were taken into police station, a bid to prevent their support to Al Shabaab.
Tension was reported following the detention of the local elders.
The Somali-based group of Al Shabaab still hold swaths in parts in central Somalia’s Hiran region.
