Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Al-Thani met with President of Somaliland Abdirahman Irro.
The meeting took place in Doha during the official visit of President Irro to Qatar for diplomatic discussions.
Both leaders exchanged views on recent developments in Somalia and efforts to achieve long-term peace and stability.
They also discussed ways to strengthen communication and build mutual trust to support Somalia’s unity and future progress.
Sheikh Al-Thani reiterated Qatar’s belief that Somalia’s stability depends on inclusive dialogue and respect for the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He also reaffirmed his support for efforts to promote Somali reconciliation, inclusive governance, and peaceful resolution of internal political and security challenges.
The meeting reflects Qatar’s ongoing commitment to regional peace, diplomacy, and constructive engagement with all Somali political and civil society stakeholders.
Qatar has played key role in supporting a lasting peace and development across the Horn of Africa region.
