Qatar condemns explosion at football stadium in Somalia
The State of Qatar expressed Saturday its strong condemnation of the bombing of a football stadium in the southern Somali city of Barawe, which killed four people and wounded others.
In a statement today, the Foreign Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm position of rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of its motives or reasons.
The statement considered the bombing of the stadium as targeting the values of love, tolerance and coexistence on which sport is based.
The ministry expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims, to the government and the people of Somalia, and wished the wounded a speedy recovery.
