Ealing town centre trouble

Police officers and police dogs were injured after trouble broke out in Ealing Town Centre last night.
At approximately 23:00hrs on 22 December, officers were called to Ealing Town Hall, The Broadway, to reports of a disturbance.
A number of youths had tried to attend the“Wild n out” music event being held at the Town Hall but could not gain entry because the event was full. Officers from Ealing borough attended and the decision was taken to shut the event down and disperse the crowds.
The groups then descended on nearby Longfield Avenue where disorder broke out. Units from the Territorial Support Group were called to the scene to assist.
Missiles were thrown at officers trying to clear the area. Road closures were put in place and a dispersal order was issued.
A number of people have been arrested for public order offences.

In Mattock Lane, a man was found with injuries. He was taken to a west London hospital by London Ambulance Service. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Two police officers received minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
Two police dogs were also injured. They will be seen by a vet later today (23 December). They are not thought to be seriously injured.
Roads were reopened in the area at approximately 02:00hrs. Source ealingtoday.co.uk
