New international flight began Flights to Mogadishu This is an initiative jointly by Somali business people and other businessmen from Greece in a bid to ease Somali communities’ travels from Somalia to the rest of the world.


An event to launch this was attended by cabinet ministers, members of parliament and officials from SKYGREECE. Officials from SKYGREECE told reporters at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu that even SKYGREECE will fly to London apart from Athens and Stockholm, Sweden.  The head of immigration General Gaafow Mahamuud said that this in an indication that the country developed. “People are now trying to travel in one of these planes. We have done a lot of efforts. These international planes have started landing in the airport”. Gaafow said.

The Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Abdirahman Abdi Ismaan said the Ministry of Trade is encouraging Somali business
people to take part in the development in the country. On the other hand, Deputy
Minister for Aviation, Hersi Adan Rooble said there is a major change of development which is apparent in Aden Adde International airport.
