MOGADISHU – Kenyan military fighter jets have launched airstrikes on residential areas in El-Adde town in Somalia’s Gedo region, leaving nearly five people injured.

Sunday’s strikes were carried out by Kenyan warplanes in Hareri and Gadon areas in the town, according to local residents.

Two children were also among those injured in the bombings.

The target of the bombardments remains unknown.

The victims were taken into hospital in the town, a witness Faisa Hussein said.

Hussein says she had seen blooded victims while heading to local medical centres.

The Kenya military officials did not comment on the strikes.
