MOGADISHU – Heavily armed Al Shabaab fighters have launched an ambush attack on police soldiers in Kenya’s Garissa town.
The attack happened in Hamey area in the town, as the Kenyan police soldiers clashed with the armed militants of Al Shabaab.
The soldiers reportedly repulsed the attack orchestrated by Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab, according to police officer, who asked to be anonymous, said.
It is too early to figure out the exact casualty on the ambush assault.
There was no immediate comment from Kenyan police over the attack in Garissa tow.
