Kenya:Former Kenyan PM, Raila Odinga Calls for KDF Withdrawal from Somalia former Kenyan prime minister, Raila Amolo Odinga who heads the CORD Coalition of parties in Kenya said his alliance will carry out mass demonstrations so that the government of Kenya can be pressurized to do something about the current insecurity in Kenya and to withdraw KDF from Somalia.

He said they are preparing countrywide demos in July, starting from 7th July which is better known
in Kenya as ‘Saba Saba’ meaning Seven Seven. On the other hand, Kenyan civil society organizations
and human rights organizations have called for demonstrations to take place in a
week’s time if the government fails to address the current insecurity in the country
and fails to withdraw the Kenyan forces from Somalia.

Since early this year, 64 people were killed and more than 260 people were wounded in bombs and other attacks
which terrorists have carried out inside Kenya. It is worth mentioning that Alshabaab
claimed to have carried out some of these attacks while it has not claimed to have
carried out some of them
