Islamic State recruits fighters in Somalia

MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Islamic State branch in Somalia has released new photos of its militant cadets undergo basic training for weapons, explosives, and fitness.

The photos show masked new recruits who started their training in the north of Somalia’s Puntland Mountains.

The jihadist group poses threats mainly to Somalia and its neighboring nations.

This comes days after Ethiopian government said its security forces arrested several members from Islamic State near its border with Somalia.
