Former Somali warlord and MP dies in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Former Somali MP, and faction leader Mohamed Qanyare Afrah has died on Saturday in the capital of Mogadishu.

Hon. Afrah died of long time illness, according to his relatives.His burial is planed to be on the 30 of june 2019.He was once Mogadishu’s 3rd most powerful leader. Before entering politics as deputy leader of United Somali Congress (USC) led by Ali mahdi.

He was also a successful businessman. both in Kenya and later in somalia

Somali President Mohamed Abudllahi Mohamed has sent his heartfelt condelences to families of Afrah.
