Officials said the raid occurred along the road linking Garasweyne and Moragabey, where troops recovered rifles and equipment after eliminating several militants.
A second operation near Harardhere in Mudug region was carried out by Ma’awisley militia, killing six militants and disrupting Al-Shabab activities nearby.
Military officials said allied forces foiled a planned suicide attack in Dabagalo, preventing militants from launching another assault intended to destabilize communities.
Despite recent operations, Al-Shabab continues conducting deadly attacks and maintaining rural strongholds, underscoring Somalia’s ongoing struggle to restore stability and protect communities.
