Landmine explosion targeted at CARE International convoy in Kenya’s Dhagahley refugee camp which houses thousands of Somali refugees. At least one police officer was killed and several others wounded in the explosion which targeted at the agencies convoy on Monday.
No group has yet claimed the responsibility of the attack.
The militant group of Al Shabab had earlier vowed that it will carry major attacks on Kenyan interests following the Kenya’s intervention to Somalia.
Kenya sent its troops to Somalia in 2011 to pursue against Al Shabab after the group carried several attacks and kidnaps in Kenya.
