Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has arrived in Mogadishu on a one-day visit amid tight security in the capital.
Abiy and his delegation were warmly welcomed by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud upon arrival at the airport.
He was then escorted to the presidential palace, where the two leaders are holding discussions on the relations between Addis Ababa and Mogadishu.
Somalia and Ethiopia have enjoyed stable relations since December 11, following mediation by Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan.
