Ethiopian air raid kills 34 Shabaab in Somalia

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Ethiopian military says it has killed 34 Al Shabaab militants in an airstrike carried out in south west of Somalia.

The strike was carried out in carried in Burhakaba town, after Ethiopian forces came under ambush attack by Al Shabaab.

In a statement by Ethiopian military said the strike also destroyed 4 trucks mounting anti-aircraft weapons.

The group’s bomb experts identified as ‘Abdu Osman and Abduselam’ were also killed in the latest bombing in Somalia.

There was no immediate comment from Al Shabaab over the claims

The attack comes weeks after Al Shabaab claimed to have killed 31 Ethiopian soldiers under AMISOM in the same area of Somalia.

The Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab has been fighting to topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
