
The governments of Ethiopia and Somalia formed, for the first time, a Joint Committee in cooperation to establish a long-term cooperative relationship based on mutual respect and good-neighborliness, as well as the preservation and respect of the sovereignty and unity of both countries.
The two sides discussed on wide range of issues including security, economy and water and several other files related to the regional and international situation.
The formation of the joint committee is an important step to move bilateral relations between the two neighbors to develop and arrange new development plans of mutual benefit, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia.
