High level delegation led by Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Saleh arrived in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

The Eritrean delegation was warmly welcomed by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed at Bole airport in Addis Ababa for talks to end the decades-long conflict between Eritrea and Ethiopia.

The delegation was escorted to PM Abiy’s office on Tuesday.

Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki’s right hand man Yemane Gebreab included the delegation reached into Addis Ababa.

The visit comes a week after President Afwerki said the East African country would dispatch a delegation to Addis Ababa to “gauge current development” in the region.
