President Isaias reiterated Eritrea’s strong solidarity with Sudan, stressing that external interventions would worsen conflict without producing any positive outcomes or durable solutions for stability.
President el-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s readiness to promote peace in Sudan, Somalia, and the Red Sea, urging littoral states to coordinate security efforts effectively.
El-Sisi emphasized that cooperation among Red Sea states is essential for safeguarding peace, protecting resources, and ensuring mutual economic and strategic benefits across the region.
President Afwerki and his delegation received a warm welcome at Cairo International Airport earlier Thursday before proceeding to the high-level discussions with President el-Sisi.
