Dozens killed in bomb attack on Ethiopian army vehicle in Somalia

MOGADISHU, Somalia— Deadly bomb attack on an Ethiopian armored personnel carrier in Somalia, has left dozens dead and wounded in west of Somalia.

The explosion ripped through an armored vehicle carrying military supplies to its forces’ camp in Yarkut area in west of Somalia’s Gedo region, a witness, who asked to be anonymous said.

He says dozens of soldiers on board were killed and injured in the bomb attack.

He added the Ethiopian soldiers were hit by roadside bomb explosion while left Dolow town to Yurkud area earlier on Friday.

The Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab group says it has killed and injured 40 Ethiopian soldiers in the bomb explosion.

There was no immediate comment from Ethiopian army officials over the latest attack in Somalia.
