Deadly suicide explosions hit Somali capital
MOGADISHU – At least 7 people have been killed and 10 others injured in double suicide car bomb explosion in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu, witness and police said.
The explosions went off near Somalia’s Interior Ministry building in the capital, leaving at least 7 people dead, a witness, Geddi Mohamed said.
Mohamed says 10 others injured in the explosion, adding that some of the victims were bleeding.
Somali police officer, Hussein Mohamud confirmed twin car bombs targeted at heavily fortified building of the Ministry in Mogadishu.
Mohamud says Somali security forces started to clash with gunmen, who stormed into the compelex, following the bomb blasts.
The armed group of Al Shabaab claimed the responsibility for Saturday’s explosions in Somali capital Mogadishu.
