Deadly fighting kills 7 in Somalia

MOGADISHU, Somalia — At least seven people have been killed in on going deadly clan fighting broke out in north west of Somalia.

The enter-clan fighting flared up over roadblock ownership in Wanlaweyn town, about 90 km (55 miles) to the northwest of Somali capital Mogadishu.

A witness says armed militias attacked on the roadside checkpoint where other militias were collecting money from the vehicles travelling in the area.

The clash is reportedly spreading into neighboring villages of the town.

He says over a dozen were injured, some seriously.
