MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least three government soldiers have been killed and two others wounded in bomb explosion in Somali capital Mogadishu.

The explosion ripped through a vehicle carrying military soldiers while travelling at Garasbaley area near the capital, leaving 3 soldiers dead, a witness said.

He says two others injured in the explosion.

The victims were taken into hospital in Mogadishu.

The explosion claimed by Al Shabaab.

Last week, the group claimed to have killed at least 9 soldiers including two senior generals in bomb explosion near Somali capital.

The group has been fighting against Somali army forces and African Union troops for more than ten years in the war-ravaged nation.

The Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab, which once controlled much of the capital of Mogadishu in 2011, wants to topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
