Deadly blast kills 7 Kenyan police soldiers in Lamu

LAMU – Roadside bomb has targeted Kenyan police vehicle carrying soldiers in the coastal town of Lamu.

The explosion ripped through the police vehicle while travelling through Ijara area in Lamu, northeast region of Kenya.

The Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab group claimed the responsibility for the bomb explosion.

The group says it killes at least 7 Kenyan soldiers on boad after the bomb blast in Lamu town.

Mareeg Online could not indepedently verify the claims.

There was no word from Kenyan Police officers over the claims made Al Shabab.
