AU troops accused of killing 9 civilians in Qoryoley town
MOGADISHU, Somalia – The African Union troops in Somalia were accused of killing nine unarmed civilians, including women in Qoryoley town, about 120 km south of the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
At least five women were among those who were killed when African Union troops carried out an indiscriminate bombardment on the residential areas of the town in response to an al Shabaab attack last night, Radio Mustqalbal reported.
The Radio quoting officials said the troops killed civilians, 5 women and 4 men in bombing.

Meanwhile, angry residents took streets of the town to protest against African Union mission known as ‘AMISOM’.
The mission did not comment on the incident.
African Union has as more than 22,000 soldiers and police, from six African countries, deployed in Somalia to protect the government there and fight the militants.
