43 Somali police officers completed six months of training in Southwestern Uganda
Over 43 Somali police officers completed six months of training in Southwestern Uganda on September 10th 2016, and are heading home to boost the security of Somalia. The Passing Out Parade was witnessed by HE the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, the Somali Police Commissioner, General Mohamed Hassan Hamud, officials from the government of Uganda and police officials including the Ugandan Police Commissioner. The new police officers were awarded certificates for successfully completing training within the stipulated period.
Mohaned Abdullahi, who graduated as the best student, said: “We are determined to go back and bring peace to our country, to free the people from the threat of al-Shabaab. We are equipped and ready for the battle.”
