Alshabab chief warns Kenya that they will be attacked
Sheikh Fu’ad, an Al-Shabaab militant leader in the Gedo region spoke out and claimed that the youth that have been repatriated to Somalia from Kenya, are receiving training to retaliate and stage future attacks in Kenya.
Sheikh Fu’ad said that some are already involved in the current attacks going on in Kenya, and that the others are receiving military exercises to carry out terror attacks in the near future. The militant leader said that for as long as Kenya have a presence in Somalia, they will be subject to attacks.
The statement by Sheikh Fu’ad Mohamed Shongle was released from the Gedo region amid a time when Al-Shabaab are carrying out consistent terror attacks in Kenya.
