Al Shabaab says 10 Ethiopian soldiers killed in Somalia attack
Somali armed group al Shabaab has claimed to have killed ten Ethiopian soldiers under African Union peacekeeping mission in bomb explosion followed by an ambush attack.
The group says its fighters carried out an ambush attack on a military vehicle carrying Ethiopian troops while heading to Luq town in Somalia’s Gedo region.
The rebel group says ten soldiers killed in the explosion followed by the surprise attack.
But, reliable sources indicated that four soldiers were only wounded in the attack.
There was no immediate comment from African Union mission or Ethiopian military over the claims.
al Shabaab, an al Qaeda linked group, which wants topple the weak-westren backed government of Somalia.
