Somalia Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed, cabinet ministers, MPs, officials from the immigration department were waiting inside Aden Abdulle Airport when the plabe carrying 85 Somali immigrants arrived at the airport. Among the deported people were children and women.
Hundreds of relatives and friends of the deportees were cheerfully waiting the front-gate at the airport to see the loved ones back to the home country.
“I am very pleased to be in my home town today. This is a very important moment for my life.” said Ali Ahmed, one of the those deported from Kenya.
“We were like in the hell. We could not tolerate to be in Kenya.” said a young woman who knelt down to kiss the ground.
Somali government said that it was unnecessary for Kenya to send back these people to Somalia due to the recent violence and bomb blasts in Kenya. The government mentioned the Somali people should think of the development of their country instead of staying in the foreign countries Dalsanradio
