Somalia, Kenya leaders discuss war on Al Shabaab

MOGADISHU, Somalia – The President of Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has held phone conversation with his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta, discussing latest attack on hotel in Nairobi.

The two Heads of States also discussed on war on Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab, after the group claimed to have carried out deadly attack hotel, leaving 21 people dead.

Somali president expressed satisfaction with the progress, as well as bilateral exchanges and working sessions relations between Somalia and Kenya.

During the phone call, the two leaders agreed ways of boosting fighting against Al Qaeda inspired group Al Shabaab.

Kenya has thousands of military soldiers in Somalia serving under African Union peacekeeping force battling against Al Shabaab.
