MOGADISHU, Somalia – Kenya’s Anti-Terror Police Unit has arrested 10 suspected Al-Shabaab members after an operation in Ng’ombeni, Kwale County
Police chief Tom Odero says the suspects were detained in a raid at house Mvakani area.
He says some suspected Al Shabaab militants escaped during the operation.
Odero added that police recovered materials related to radicalisation.
“We have seized assortment radicalization materials which included Islamic books, several items for assembling IEDs and a tear gas canister”, he said.
There was no comment from Al Shabaab over the claims yet .
