Somalia: President visits the victims of the explosion

Somalia’s newly elected president, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, visited Madina hospital where wounded people in the explosion mostly women and children are being treated.

Mr, Mohamed made his visit unexpectedly because it was about mid-night in local time.

“We are very sorry, it’s tragic action and I pray for the victims to recover soon,” the president said.

“I want to say as the president of the nation, the government will pay the health care of the wounded people in the barbaric attack and breaved families will help constantly” he added.

On the other hand, the president announced a new offensive against Al-shabab militants.

“I’d like to tell the security forces a new fighting is beginning and the community are needed to help the government and soldiers”

On Sunday car bomb blast shook the capital leaves 34 dead and many more mainly civilians wounded.

No one has claimed for the attack yet.
