Somalia: president Farmajo arrived Mogadishu after he paid his first overseas trip

Somalis new president Mohamed Abdullah Farmajo accompanied by a high-level delegation including government ministers and parliamentarians, along with national police force commander Major-General Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamoud have arrived Somali capital Mogadishu on Saturday afternoon.

Farmajo, welcomed by Somali federal government officials at Aadan Abdulle international airport in Mogadishu.

President Farmajo paid his first official trip as he visited Saudi Arabia and Islamic Holly site city of Maka al-Mukarama.

Somali president and his government delegation met Saudi Arabian king Salman bin Abdul-aziz which they discussed many issues including the relationship between two countries.

Farmajo was inaugurated on 22 February under tight security ceremony which took place at former air force base in Mogadishu
