Over 6 people killed in Mogadishu car bomb attack

Over 6 people were killed more than that equal figure were wounded after a massive car bomb blast targeted a busy  restaurant located  les than a mile away from immigration headquarters in Mogadishu.

Abdifatah Omar Hallane spokesman for the Banadir regional administration told reports after the attack that at least 6 were killed and 6 others wounded after a massive car bomb blast  targeted Italia Coffee restaurant in Mogadishu.

The mayoral spokesman also confirmed that Somali national army general Abdi Bashir Adan were also killed in Mondays’ attack.

Eyewitness who talk to Mareeg media over the phone said that the car bomb blast caused huge distraction.

Somalia’s security forces including the police and national intelligence and security officials reached the crime scene and operations and investigations are underway according security sources.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack but Somali insurgent group of al-Shabaab have claimed responsibility recent attacks in Somali capital Mogadishu.
