New President declared for South West state of Somalia

Mareeg.com-This morning at a conference room of Hotel Bakiin in Baidoa, nominations to elect the president for the 3-region south western state of Somalia as announced it will take place a few days ago.

The conference hall was crowded with around 700 participants that came from Bay, Bakool & the Lower Shabelle regions and it was expected that there would be up to 4 nominations.

Before the elections started, 3 candidates quitted the nomination process which meant the title of president was given to Mohamed Hajji Abdi Nur. When the delegates were asked for a vote of confidence, only 12 rejected the move but the remaining number agreed with his appointing.

Currently, there is widespread fascination in Baidoa at discovering the new president of the 3-region south western state of Somalia
