Somalia: Al Shabaab foreigner killed in Mogadishu
MOGADISHU (Mareeg)—Al Shabaab official, who is a foreigner, was killed in Mogadishu by his bodyguards, Radio Mogadishu broadcasted on Monday.
The official from reportedly Jordan and was one of the most prominent commanders of al Shabaab was killed in a house in north Mogadishu by his Somali bodyguards.
Residents told Radio Mogadishu the death of the official named Amar Ibrahim who replaced Salah Nabhan.
Salah Nabhan was killed by American Helicopters near Barawe town in southern Somalia last year.
The reason behind the killing of the official is not known, but the reports say there has been dispute between the Shabaab.
