Somali Community leaders welcome the prime minister’s reconciliation offer
The chairman of Hawiye clan elders’ council Mohamed Hassan Had has lauded
the remarks of Somali premier Nor Hassan Husein regarding that Hawiye
elders have liberty to campaign for their political movement.
Speaking to somali Media radio subsequent to the prime minister’s
comment Mr.Had has pointed out that the speeches from the PM are parts of
the ingenuousness of Nor Adde towards the reconciliation of Somalia.
He also condemned the Ethiopian troops of shelling in populated areas
and he revealed that can turn out to be impediment the reconciliation would
stick between the government and the opposition.
Had has also stated that he had talked to the phone with the premier
about a probable talks of the two sides.
The remark of Hawiye clan elders comes as Somali prime minister Nor Adde
has announced on Tuesday that Hawiye elders can carry on their political
campaign.
Speaking to the reporters in Somali capital Mogadishu following he held
crucial meeting with the security official the premier has expressed his
view on Hawiye elders’ politics and he pronounced that they are independent
group but necessitated them to work on the security of the country.
He also tipped off the government forces to keep away from the hunting
down of those elders after some of the elders were arrested in the past by
the government forces.
He called for the business people to join in the security operations and
to pay the income tax of the government in turn to the government move
forward and he as well demanded the government’s senior officials to
express a political openness and to made restraint the soldiers violate the
regulations those rob/kill the civilians.
Neither Mr. nor Adde has lastly encouraged the Somali people displaced
from the war torn capital to return to their homes. |
